Russian and Chinese students of MSE MSU celebrated the New Year according to the Chinese calendar

On February 20, in preparation for the 270th anniversary of Moscow State University (under the rubric “Moscow University and Youth Initiatives and Movements”), the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Moscow School of Economics of Moscow State University held the second linguistic and cultural event dedicated to the celebration of the New Year in China in groups of Master’s students in the areas of “World Economy: Modern Development Trends” and “Economics and Mathematical Methods”.

At the event, Chinese students presented an informative report on the traditions and features of celebrating the New Year in China. At the end, the Chinese students presented the Russian students with gifts and sang the song “Smuglyanka”, which contributed to the creation of an informal, festive atmosphere. 

The Department of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Moscow School of Economics of Moscow State University expresses its gratitude to Olga Nikolaevna Ponomarenko (librarian of the Moscow School of Economics of Moscow State University) for her help in holding this event, and also wishes all the staff and students of the Faculty of Health and success in the spring semester!
