Congratulations to Visiting Professor James K. Galbraith of Moscow State University’s School of Economics on his election as a Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences!

On the 2nd of June, the General Meeting of the Russian Academy of Sciences held elections to membership of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Among those elected as Foreign Members of the RAS is Visiting Professor at the MSU Moscow School of Economics, distinguished economist – James K. Galbraith (Chair of the Lloyd M. Bentsen Jr. Department of Management/Business and Professor at the School of Government Relations, University of Texas, Austin, USA).

Professor J.  Galbraith is a member of major international NGOs and academic associations, and a professor at major universities around the world. He has received a number of distinguished international awards for his outstanding achievements in the field of economics.

Professor J.  Galbraith’s research focuses on global economic inequality and macroeconomic issues. He is the author of numerous monographs and periodicals in the US and elsewhere.

Every visit of Professor J. Galbraith to the Moscow School of Economics is a significant event for the entire MSE MSU team.
